Snow reportsBy using Skiinfo's detailed snow reports, you can easily check out the snow conditions at a ski resort before actually travelling there. The snowreports are updated on a daily basis and contain all the important information for skiers and snowboarders: Snow depth, when the last snowfall was, how much snow came in the last snowfall, what kind of weather it is right now, and how many pistes and lifts are open. Naturally, temperature and wind force are also part of the report. The snow depth is measured both on the slopes and in the terrain, and you will also find information about the current snow conditions in the snowboard parks and cross-country tracks. As a Skiinfo-member you can subscribe to snow reports from your favourite ski resorts in Norway, France,Italy and Switzerland by e-mail.
PowderalarmsIf more than 20cm of snow falls during the night, Skiinfo's powderalarm goes off! On our site you easily see where you will find the fresh snow. Naturally, you can also subscribe to the powderalarms on e-mail!

Windchill-calculatorIf you've ever stood outside on a cold windy day, you know that the wind can make you feel much colder than the air temperature might indicate. The reason is that the wind blows away the thin layer of warm air that normally surrounds your body. Clothing acts as insulation to help trap this warm air, which is heated by your skin. However, a strong wind can still draw heat away from your body unless you are wearing high-quality, wind-proof outwear. The stronger the wind and the lower the temperature, the more rapidly you lose body heat.
